• Rashe Malcolm

    Rashe (pronounced Ra-She) Malcolm has been part of the Athens community for many, many years. She is the founder of Rashe’s Cuisine and Farm to Neighborhood. Her welcoming smile and warm embrace are as much a part of the meal as the fork (you won’t need a knife to cut the juicy, tender meats Rashe’s serves!) Today, Rashe’s Cuisine is a family business, employing three generations and offering a bevy of services including catering and cooking lessons. Rashe even has her own blend of coffee! From a young girl’s dream to a staple of the Athens community, Rashe’s Cuisine reflects the love and care Rashe Malcolm has for each and every person she interacts with.

    Crystal Barnes is the founder and sole proprietor of The Taxtique, LLC- an Alpharetta, GA based business specializing in income tax consulting, preparation and resolution. As a tax professional with over 17 years of experience, Crystal has helped individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations navigate the US Tax Code using a family approach - in which clients are members of her extended tax family.

  • Kat Chaffin

    Kat Chaffin is passionate about giving back to the Athens community that she grew up in. Kat has served on a variety of boards and committees including the Athens Clarke County Revolving Loan Fund, ACC-S.A.N.E., The Culinary Kitchen of Athens, and Farm to Neighborhood.

  • Caree J. Cotwright, PhD, RDN

    Dr. Caree Jackson Cotwright, an assistant professor in the Department of Foods and Nutrition, is the director of the UGA Childhood Obesity Prevention Laboratory. Her research is focused on early childhood obesity prevention and creating healthy early care and education (ECE) environments. The overall goal of Dr. Cotwright’s work is to reduce the risk of childhood obesity among children aged 0-5 years. Dr. Cotwright has served as the Principal Investigator for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation - Healthy Eating Research grants centered on decrease sugary beverage intake among young children and families. She also co-leads a USDA SNAP-Ed funded project, Healthy Child Care Georgia, to improve the wellness best practices in the ECE setting. Dr. Cotwright’s work integrates community engaged research and service learning to improve health outcomes.

  • Debra Pittman-Davis

    Debra Davis is the owner of A & O Consulting and director of operations at Apple Tree Prep-Athens. Her work history includes teaching in private Montessori schools, serving on the board of directors for education, entrepreneurship as well as a visionary of a Private Christian Montessori school for 7 years in Athens, GA.

  • Jennine Labuzan-DeLane

    Jennine Labuzan-DeLane is a Californian native with a bachelor’s of science degree in Psychology and Education from Howard University. In her current role as Recruitment Coordinator for the University of Georgia’s SNAP-Ed program, DeLane is responsible for building strategic agency and community based partnerships to ensure UGA SNAP-Ed reaches its highest potential in health and nutrition outreach education to limited income communities throughout the state.

  • David Dwyer

    David currently serves as COO of Tweed Recording - a startup school looking to advance the field of audio engineering globally, but based here in Athens. David also continues a very small and select boutique real estate practice with Sanford Lake Partners, representing clients looking to start or grow their Athens-centric business. His passion for Farm-to-neighborhood comes from a love of food, a love of Athens, and an awe for those who share the dream that this community – as great as it is – can be better.
